Frank Ehrman Achieves Coveted Dual CPP and PSP Designations

Mr. Frank Ehrman of Cary, North Carolina, was awarded the designations of Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and Physical Security Professional (PSP) by the Professional Certification Board (PCB) of ASIS International, based in Alexandria, VA.

The CPP and PSP designations are evidence that Mr. Ehrman is Board Certified in Security Management and Physical Security, respectively. These credentials are internationally recognized as the standard of competency throughout the security industry.

In order to earn these credentials Mr. Ehrman had to comply with stringent eligibility requirements, including demonstrating that he had met certain education and/or work experience qualifications. He then had to pass two comprehensive examinations that tested his knowledge and skills in major areas of security management and physical security

Nearly 10,000 members of ASIS have earned the designation of CPP but fewer than 300 currently hold the dual certifications of CPP and PSP.

To maintain these credentials, Mr. Ehrman must apply for recertification every three years, at which time he must submit evidence of continuing professional development. This requirement has been instituted in order to maintain proficiency and credibility.

Mr. Ehrman is a member of ASIS Chapter 119 in Research Triangle Park, NC
